What can Russian army do besides suicide infantry assaults?

Ukraine is pushing the enemy back just as Russia is doing everything it can to portray Ukrainians as weak

We can push the Russian army back. And we are doing it.

We have the capability to shield the skies from their reconnaissance drones, precisely jam all their FPV drones, and throw their guide bombs off course. We have mastered this.

We can lock down the skies above them, mine the roads, and cut off their supply of ammunition, fuel, and food. Their electronic warfare systems will either be destroyed or suffocated; sooner or later, their firing positions will go dark.

Then, at the right moment, thermobarics will level the buildings they hide in, explosives will rain down on their bunkers, and FPVs will finish off the armor trying to break through in support.

And our assault troops will clear the territory.

But what can the Russians do besides suicidal infantry assaults?

"The lion’s share of the weapons we use to accomplish all this - we produce ourselves."

Illegally, if you think about it. In village houses near the front, in basements and cellars, in half-ruined workshops. In the backyards of houses of ill repute.

This is our shadow military-industrial complex - impossible to destroy, even with nuclear weapons. It holds advanced, secret knowledge of how to use civilian technologies to build complex systems.

Once, our greatest ally demanded our surrender and cut off supplies for months. It was hard - but we endured.

And we are enduring now. In village houses, we craft deadly weapons, propping up the ceilings with logs to keep them from collapsing. We draw water from wells, smoke cigarettes in cherry orchards. And under the thatched roofs, we fuse Roman steel with our own metal - I just held such an alloy in my hand. Tomorrow, it will seek out enemy flesh.

"We are an army. We strike with precision and speed. But what are Russian forces capable of - besides mindless, bloody rage?"

***

If we are given money, we will produce even more weapons in these houses - and we will advance.

In fact, we are doing this deliberately, demonstratively, on purpose.

We are pushing the Russians back - right when they are desperately trying to portray us as weak.
