Reports surface of Ukrainian forces withdrawing from Krynky; military says "situation not so critical"
The Ukrainian Defense Forces are performing combat operations on the left bank of the Kherson region, specifically in Krynky
Dmytro Lykhoviy, the spokesperson for Ukraine's Tavria operational and strategic troop grouping, shared this update on the United News telethon.
"The situation is not as critical as some media and bloggers suggest. Our key message is this: the Defense Forces are still performing combat missions on the left bank of the Dnipro River, particularly in the Krynky area," Lykhoviy said.
He also confirmed that intense and prolonged Russian fire has devastated most of the main positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
"The village has turned into rubble, completely destroyed by Russian shelling. It hasn't been a populated area for a long time—it's practically indefensible," he stated.
According to Lykhoviy, Ukrainian defenders will maintain their designated positions and bridgeheads on the left bank of the Dnipro River, continuing to destroy Russian forces and inflict significant losses.
- Ivan Stupak, a military expert and SBU officer in 2004-2015, noted that the Ukrainian Armed Forces have successfully prevented Russian troops from gaining a long-term foothold on the left bank of the Kherson region.
