Rally in support of Zaluzhnyi gathers on Maidan in Kyiv
Several dozen people gathered on Independence Square in Kyiv: they believe that the dismissal of Valeriy Zaluzhnyi as Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was a mistake by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy
This was reported by hromadske.
"Most of those who gathered here believe that the government's dismissal of Zaluzhnyi was a big mistake," said political analyst Karl Volokh, who called himself the initiator of the action.
He added that the participants had "one simple question that should not even have been discussed".
Volokh also added that President Zelenskyy's term of office expires on May 20, 2024, which is why Ukraine needs to hold elections.
Some protesters shouted slogans "Return Zaluzhnyi" and held posters with these inscriptions. Some also brought a portrait of the former commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces, and one of the participants shouted: "Zaluzhnyi is our president".
