This is stated on the website of the President's Office.
By the decree, Zelenskyy put into effect the decision of the National Security and Defence Council ‘On Countering Threats to Ukraine's National Security in the Healthcare Sector during a Special Period’.
Now, the government must pass an additional law within a month to prohibit the appointment of people with medical degrees to military positions that are not directly related to medical service and practice during martial law. The exception is appointments made at the request of medical professionals.
The Cabinet of Ministers should also consider revising the conditions and mechanism for reserving conscripted medical and other healthcare workers during martial law.
- In November, European Solidarity MP Oleksiy Honcharenko said that professional doctors were being transferred from military hospitals to combat positions in the infantry.
