Ukrainian politician and diplomat Roman Bezsmertnyi said in an interview with Anton Borkovskyi, host of the Studio West program, that it is only a matter of time before Ukraine receives long-range precision weapons within 800 km and 1,000 km

He shared his opinions with Espreso TV.

“Regarding the announced eight-billion-dollar aid from the United States, in my view, it remains unclear at this point. Some suggest these funds will come from frozen Russian assets, while others indicate that the amount will be gathered from various sources. However, the nature of this package has not yet been clearly defined. What we can reasonably speculate on is that it will likely include payment for long-range munitions, such as guided aerial bombs. Additionally, this assistance package will probably involve supplies for air and missile defense systems. I am convinced it will also address the need for high-precision, long-range weaponry. Why? Because a one-time package of this magnitude is extremely costly, and no amount of cannonballs or basic components for air and missile defense systems will be sufficient to account for such a large sum,” the diplomat explained.

In his opinion, it is only a matter of time before Ukraine receives long-range precision weapons within 800 km and 1,000 km range.

“Putin is bluffing about nuclear weapons, but that tactic doesn’t work on Washington. When headlines surface claiming that U.S. intelligence is opposed to providing Ukraine with high-precision, long-range weapons, I’m well aware that the United States has over a dozen intelligence agencies. Those making such statements are likely banking on the assumption that readers will only think of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). However, the White House draws on information from both the Intelligence Committee and the CIA, but also from the Joint Intelligence of the Department of Defense, whose authority holds much greater weight within the U.S. government apparatus,” noted Roman Bezsmertnyi.

  • On September 26, it was reported that the United States provided Ukraine with defense assistance totaling $7.9 billion, which included an additional Patriot air defense battery, drones, and long-range missiles.
