Ukrainian army destroys over 1,000 Russian soldiers, 36 artillery systems, 12 tanks - General Staff

This is stated in the report of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff.

The total combat losses of the Russian Federation from 24.02.22 to 23.03.24 are approximately:

Frontline situation: Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled 65 Russian attacks in 7 directions over the last day

Thus, according to the General Staff, the operational situation has not changed in the area of the northern Ukrainian border with Belarus.

In the northeastern border area, the Russian army maintains a military presence in the border areas, conducts active sabotage activities to prevent the deployment of Ukrainian troops to threatened areas.

In the Kupyansk direction, the Russian troops, with the support of aviation, made 3 unsuccessful assaults on the positions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces near the towns of Synkivka, Tabaivka, and Berestove in the Kharkiv region.

In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian soldiers repelled 7 attacks near Bilohorivka, Luhansk region, and Spirne, Donetsk region, where the Russian army, supported by air power, tried to break through the Ukraine's defense.

In the Bakhmut direction, the soldiers repelled 5 Russian attacks in the vicinity of Ivanivske, Andriivka, and Klishchiivka in the Donetsk region.

In the Avdiivka direction, Ukrainian defenders repulsed 10 hostile attacks in the areas of Berdychi, Tonenke, Pervomaiske, and Nevelske.

In the Novopavlivka direction, the Defense Forces are holding back the Russian army in the areas of 5 settlements, where the Russian troops, with the support of aviation, tried to break through the defense of Ukrainian troops 28 times.

In the Orikhiv direction, the invading forces attacked the positions of Ukrainian defenders 10 times with the support of air power near Staromaiorske, south of Novodarivka in the Donetsk region and near Robotyne in the Zaporizhzhia region.

In the Kherson direction, the Russian army does not abandon its intention to drive Ukraine's units from their footholds on the left bank of the Dnipro River. Thus, over the past day, two assaults on the positions of Ukrainian troops were carried out.

At the same time, Ukrainian soldiers continue to inflict losses in manpower and equipment on the occupation forces, depleting the Russian enemy along the entire front line.

Russia attacked Ukraine with drones, missiles, and aircraft: Ukraine hits 15 Russian military positions

During the day, the aviation of Ukraine's Defense Forces struck 13 areas where Russian personnel, weapons and military equipment were concentrated.

Also, missile troops struck 2 areas of personnel concentration, 1 air defense facility, and 4 important Russian facilities.

At the same time, Russia launched 88 missile strikes, 143 airstrikes, and 92 attacks with multiple launch rocket systems at the Ukrainian troops' positions and populated areas. Unfortunately, Russian terrorist attacks have resulted in civilian casualties and injuries.

At night, the Russian army once again attacked Ukraine using Shahed UAVs. The data on the consequences are currently being clarified.

Over the last day, 1 locality in the Chernihiv region, 3 in the Sumy region, 4 in the Kharkiv region, 1 in the Luhansk region, 17 in the Donetsk region, and 1 in the Zaporizhzhia region were subjected to air strikes.

About 140 settlements in the Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, Kherson, and Mykolaiv regions were under artillery fire.

• In the evening of March 22, Russian terrorists launched Shaheda attack UAVs from the eastern and northern directions. Explosions were reported in the Kharkiv region and air defense activity in Zaporizhzhia.
