Russian army tries to return Robotyne under fire control - Legion of Freedom fighter
Legion of Freedom fighter Kostiantyn Denysov notes the Ukrainian Defense Forces are bravely repelling Russian attacks near Robotyne, Zaporizhzhia direction
He said this on the Espreso TV channel.
"The guys are repelling Russian counterattacks using a variety of tactics and experience. The Russians are trying to regain fire control over Robotyne and further regain control of the settlement. Unfortunately, only the name and the burnt walls of civilian houses remain. At the time of the full-scale invasion, about 500 people lived in this settlement. Having mined everything in three rows in 2022-2023, having a lot of equipment, having air superiority, they still lost control of it. The occupiers are very eager to return it, but they are failing," Denysov emphasized.
The Legion of Freedom fighter also added that over the past two months, Russian forces have adopted scorched earth tactics. "They are using artillery to burn everything around, pushing the Solntsepyok so that there is nowhere to hide. The guys have to defend themselves in the middle of a bare field," Denysov said.
