How to defeat Russia?
To determine the most effective strategy against a better-equipped adversary, analyze how they compensated for their inferiority against a stronger opponent
Therefore, to find the most effective way to neutralize Russia, we need to analyze and determine how Russia managed to balance its significant lag behind NATO.
The answer for experts is obvious: Russia managed to bridge this gap in conventional weaponry by employing unconventional methods: supporting disruptive societal initiatives, hybrid warfare tactics, political bribery, election interference, sabotage, economic and infrastructural dependencies on other states, cyberattacks, and so forth.
Russia spares no expense on this. Judging by the scale, unconventional methods of warfare have long been a priority for Russia in its war against Ukraine and the entire West. I can confidently say that they are quite successful in this regard. It's worth looking at the internal situation in many, if not almost all, Western countries. Conventional warfare is only a supplement to the "hybrid" aggression against us all. Russia has imposed on the West the primary battleground where it considers its capabilities to be comparable or dominant.
Unfortunately, we still view war through a conventional lens, seeing victory only in battlefield superiority, even with drones and next-generation missiles. It would be wiser to closely examine how the Russians managed to restrain and nearly neutralize a much superior opponent without relying solely on conventional weaponry.
Most importantly, Russia is vulnerable to unconventional means of attack, but unfortunately, very little attention is paid to this. Drone strikes on Russian infrastructure targets are crucial, but there is much more available that could be utilized.
