Ukrainian court confiscates assets of former aircraft engine builder's head Boguslayev accused of treason
On April 18, the High Anti-Corruption Court (HACC) ruled to confiscate the assets of Vyacheslav Boguslayev, former CEO of Motor Sich, the main manufacturer of aircraft engines, as well as his accomplice

"The panel of judges of the High Anti-Corruption Court partially satisfied the administrative claim of Ukraine's Ministry of Justice against the former president of Motor Sich and the director of the company's representative office in Moscow, a Russian businessman, and imposed a sanction on them under paragraph 1-1, part 1, article 4 of the Law of Ukraine ‘On Sanctions’” the statement says.
Real estate, money deposited in bank accounts, shares in the authorized capital of a number of business companies, securities, firearms, property rights to trademarks and industrial designs were seized.
What preceded it
In October 2022, the former director of Motor Sich aircraft engine manufacturer, Vyacheslav Boguslayev, was detained on suspicion of treason. He is known to have been supplying helicopter and airplane engines to the Russian forces without interruption. Boguslayev has also been a Russian citizen since 2000. The court imposed a 2-month pre-trial restraint on him. On October 24, 2022, he was arrested.
On November 4, 2022, it became known that, based on the materials of SBU investigators, all the property of the president of Motor Sich and the head of the company's foreign economic activity department, who are suspected of working for the Russian Federation, was seized. In February, Vyacheslav Boguslayev was notified of a new suspicion of facilitating the activities of the DNR terrorist organization, and in late March, the arrest was extended until May 27.
On May 10, journalists of the Skhemy project published a letter signed by Boguslayev, in which the former head of Motor Sich asked to be included in the list for exchange with Russia. His lawyer explained his client's request to be exchanged to Russia because of his “health condition.”
Subsequently, the court rejected Boguslayev's appeal and upheld the decision of the first instance - detention until October 22.
On November 30, the Solomyansky District Court of Kyiv extended the preventive measure against former Motor Sich CEO Vyacheslav Boguslayev.
On February 20, the Solomyansky District Court extended the pre-trial restraint against Vyacheslav Boguslayev, the former president of Motor Sich, until April 18, 2024, and later until June 10.
