Drone strikes at military training ground in Russia's Rostov region - Defense Express
In early November, a 'kamikaze' drone attacked a training ground with Russian troops in the Rostov region. The drone hit a military facility of the occupying Russian army
Defence Express reports with reference to the UAF Geolocate monitoring channel.
It is noted that the attack took place on the night of November 3 near the city of Novocherkassk in the Rostov region, 200 km from the front line in Ukraine.
Footage of the aftermath was posted on social media. Photos and videos show several tents burned to the ground.
Defense Express suggests that the training ground could have been attacked by a drone with a warhead containing submunitions in the form of small balls that can effectively destroy manpower. At the same time, the Russians in the video claim that no one was in the tents during the attack.
The 102nd Motorized Rifle Regiment of the 150th Motorized Rifle Division of the Russian Federation (formerly the 33rd Detached Motorized Rifle Brigade) is located at the training ground near Novocherkassk. It is likely that Russian conscripts are stationed there.
There is currently no comment on the attack from the Ukrainian side.
