Ukrainian drones attack a chemical plant producing ammunition in Russia's Tula region
Drones of Ukraine's SBU and Special Operations Forces hit Aleksin chemical plant, which produces gunpowder and ammunition for the Russian army
This was reported by Suspilne media outlet, citing sources in the SBU.
‘Last night, the SBU and the Special Forces drones ‘visited’ the Aleksin Chemical Plant in the Tula region of the Russian Federation. It is part of the Rostec corporation and produces ammunition, gunpowder, and materials for the Russian military-industrial complex. From 9:30 p.m., air alerts were declared in various regions of the Russian Federation due to drone flights, and at 3 a.m., residents of Tula began to write about the attack on the chemical plant, explosions, and the movement of fire trucks heading to the site of the fire,’ the source said.
According to him, the SBU is targeting facilities in Russia that are involved in the war in Ukraine.
‘The destruction of weapons depots, military airfields and enterprises that are part of the Russian military-industrial complex reduce Russia's ability to terrorize our country,’ he added.
Earlier, Andriy Kovalenko, head of the Centre for Countering Disinformation, said that a chemical plant in the city of Aleksin in the Tula region of Russia had been attacked.
According to Kovalenko, in 2013, the company resumed production of composite press material AG-4S and mastered the production of press material TSZ-1F, which allowed it to meet the needs of the rocket and space industry and conventional weapons industry.
