Russia claims 12 drones attack Voronezh and Belgorod regions

The governor of Voronezh region, Aleksandr Gusev, wrote about this on his telegram channel.
According to the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, a child was injured when the debris from the downed UAV hit the apartment. The girl, born in 2013, allegedly had cut wounds on her arm, leg and neck. The child was provided with medical care on the spot.
In addition, Gusev reported that as a result of an alleged drone attack in Voronezh, 35 apartments were damaged. Windows in several houses were smashed.
According to Russian media and telegram channels, on the night of January 16, drones and air defense systems were heard operating in the sky over Voronezh, and about 10 explosions were heard.
The Russian Defense Ministry reports that air defense systems shot down three Ukrainian drones.
The Shot telegram channel informs that the target of the attack could have been the Baltimore airfield, which is located near Teplichnaya Street, where the UAV debris had previously hit a residential building.
At around 4:00 a.m., local residents reported hearing new explosions in Voronezh, Baza reports.
After the drone attack, a state of emergency was declared in the city. Residents of the house that was hit by drone debris were evacuated and placed in a nearby school.
In the morning, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that "five Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles were destroyed and three intercepted by air defense systems over the territory of Voronezh region, and four UAVs were intercepted over the territory of Belgorod region."
