Russia plans to produce Shahed drones in Tolyatti
Oleksii Danilov, Secretary of Ukraine's National Security and Defense Council, says that Russia plans to launch its own production of 'kamikaze' drones in Tolyatti
Danilov said this on the air of the national telethon.
According to him, Ukrainian intelligence knows about an agreement between Moscow and Tehran on the production of 'kamikaze' drones on the territory of Russia, and one of the cities where drones are planned to be produced is Tolyatti.
“One of the cities where they are going to do all this is Tolyatti, but there are other cities as well. Our intelligence on many issues works simply flawlessly, and we understand in advance what steps they can work out for themselves,” Danilov said.
He added that after spare parts manufactured by Western companies were found in Iranian drones, UAV manufacturers may face a shortage of these components.
“When we started shooting down Iranian drones, we turned our attention to the components of certain companies that should not have supplied these components to Iran. How they ended up there is now being investigated by a lot of intelligence. But after it became public knowledge, I did not think that the companies that supplied them would continue to do so. What their drones will be made of is a big question,” Danilov said.
