Russia has no way to protect Belgorod region - Defense Express military expert Kyrychevskyi
Defense Express military expert Ivan Kyrychevskyi believes that Russian forces lack the resources that would be needed to redeploy to protect Belgorod region
He expressed this opinion on Espreso TV.
“The Russians have no personnel to fulfill the current tasks of the war in Ukraine. Therefore, fortunately, the story of the Russian Volunteers Corps in the Belgorod region will only develop. It is likely that this territory will become the Belgorod People's Republic. Because the Russians cannot repel the Russian armed opposition. They cannot send regular troops there because they do not have them. Border guards of the Russian Federal Security Service are fighting in the Belgorod region. The police are just running away from there. And they are using heavy artillery on Shebekino, because they have no way out,” Kyrychevskyi explained.
The expert emphasized that the Russian Federation does not have the resources to defend the Belgorod region.
“I assume that if it were possible to scale up the troops operating in the Belgorod region, then we could already talk about the capture of Belgorod. The Russians do not have the resources, especially personnel, that could be redeployed to defend the Belgorod region. Otherwise, they would have already begun to bring troops to this territory,” he added.
