The Center for Countering Disinformation has published a compilation of anti-Ukrainian fakes and manipulations launched by Russian propaganda on September 5
According to the National Security and Defense Council's Center for Countering Disinformation, on September 5, Russian propaganda launched fake news and disinformation.
Disinformation: Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said, "Zelenskyy's regime is de jure illegitimate, although in fact it continues to operate.”
Rebuttal: According to Ukraine's Constitution, Volodymyr Zelenskyy remains legitimate and will continue to fulfill his powers until a new president is elected by the Ukrainian people.
Fake: Russian leader Vladimir Putin said, "The invasion of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the border regions of the Russian Federation has failed."
Rebuttal: The Ukrainian Armed Forces are effectively carrying out their operations in the Kursk region. In contrast, President Putin's remarks appear to be a calculated effort to reassure the Russian public and project an image of Kremlin control, which is far from the reality on the ground.
- On September 3, Russian resources launched fake information about the search for armed maniacal convicts who had signed a contract with the Ukrainian Armed Forces and escaped.
