The National Resistance Center reported the information.
It noted that mercenaries are involved in fighting in the Kupyansk direction, as well as between Bakhmut and Horlivka.
A separate unit specifically for Cubans was not established; instead, Cubans are integrated into existing Russian units, even if they do not speak Russian.
"The attitude towards Cubans is in line with typical Russian chauvinism. In fact, their main role in the Russian model is to die first," the National Resistance Center added.
- On September 5, the Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the disclosure of a human trafficking network whose members forced Cuban citizens to fight in Ukraine on the side of Russia.
- Ukrainian hackers provided the InformNapalm intelligence community with evidence of the recruitment, training, and transportation of Cuban mercenaries to Russia to participate in hostilities against Ukraine.
- Later, the Cuban authorities arrested 17 people associated with a network of human traffickers who recruited young men to fight in the Russian army against Ukraine.
