Russia decides who will represent its country at G20 summit
Russian President Vladimir Putin will not attend G20 summit, which will take place on November 15-16 in Bali, Indonesia.
CNN at Russian Embassy in Indonesia reports.
Yulia Tomskaya, head of embassy's protocol, informed the publication that instead of Putin, Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sergey Lavrov, will go to G20 summit.
Tomskaya added that Putin is still deciding whether he will join one of the meetings virtually.
They note that such decision was provoked by Kremlin's desire to protect its president from potential tensions at the summit due to Russian full-scale invasion into Ukraine. This will allow Putin to avoid direct confrontation with other world leaders, including US President Joe Biden. The latter called Russian President "war criminal."
