Reznikov may resign as Ukraine’s Defense Minister next week. Who will be his successor?

Rustem Umierov, the head of the State Property Fund, is likely to be nominated for the minister's position, "He just recently completed a year in office. And please note, a year without a single scandal and with a record result."

As to whether this information is accurate, Zheleznyak said, "Current personnel policy can be astonishing, but yesterday morning embassies were already warned about this rotation. At least some of them."

The Reznikov scandal

On August 10, media reported that the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine had allegedly signed a contract with a Turkish company in the fall of 2022 to supply winter clothing for the military. Amid accusations of purchasing and supplying summer jackets instead of winter ones, Reznikov offered a bet to the MP and a journalist. They responded.
