Reznikov apologizes for comparing AFU losses with earthquake in Turkey death toll
Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov apologized for comparing the number of Ukrainian soldiers killed in the war with Russia with victims of the earthquake in Turkey
Reznikov wrote about this on Twitter.
The minister apologized to everyone in Ukraine and Turkey who was offended by such a comparison.
"I sincerely apologize to everyone in Ukraine or Turkey who was offended by my comments in an interview with the Spanish newspaper La Razon. Ukrainians sympathize with the Turkish people. We understand what it's like to bury thousands of innocent people – friends and neighbors," Reznikov wrote.
He also thanked Turkey for its support and firm stance on Crimea since the beginning of the Russian invasion.
