Ukrainian troops’s losses are less than death toll from the earthquake in Turkey - Defense Minister Reznikov
Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov says the Ukrainian Armed Forces' losses are far below those of the Russian army: the total is below the number of people killed by the earthquake in Turkey
He made the statement in an interview with the Spanish outlet La Razon.
"Of course, we have losses because we are at war. But they are significantly less than Russia’s. I can't give you a number, but I can assure you that the total number of casualties is less than the number of deaths from the earthquake in Turkey. This means that our main goal is to save the lives of our soldiers, while Russia uses them as cannon fodder. This is a meat grinder tactic. They do not care. In Bakhmut alone, Russia loses 500 people every day. Killed and injured," emphasized Oleksii Reznikov.
In particular, the minister noted that a year ago the Russian army would fire 60,000 artillery shells a day, today - 20,000. Also, Russia has problems with weapons supply, so it uses Iranian drones.
"These are terrorist weapons against civilians. That is why I am trying to convince the rest of my colleagues that we must stop them, because they pose a threat to you as well," he summarized.
