Putin's tactics to kill Ukrainians has not changed after Xi Jinping's visit to Moscow - White House
Russia's air attack on Ukraine on March 22 shows that Chinese President Xi Jinping's visit to Moscow and statements of peace did not affect the Kremlin's desire to kill Ukrainians
This was stated at a briefing in Washington by White House Security Council Coordinator John Kirby, Ukrinform reports.
"Putin just continues to find new brutal, violent ways to kill Ukrainians and to try to destroy Ukrainian cities — basically wipe Ukraine off the map as an independent sovereign nation," the White House spokesman emphasized.
John Kirby emphasized the irony of the fact that on the eve of the air attacks on Ukraine, the leaders of China and Russia stated the need to preserve sovereignty and adhere to the UN Charter, as well as to seek "peaceful solutions" and stop hostilities.
"He (Putin - ed.) certainly hasn’t changed tack in the wake of all that lofty rhetoric about peace and cessation of hostilities.," the White House official said.
