China states its position on war in Ukraine
China has published a document with its stance on the "political settlement" of Russia's war against Ukraine
This was reported on the official website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China.
The Chinese Foreign Ministry has published a 12-point document on the war in Ukraine. In particular, the text calls for respect for the sovereignty of all countries, a ceasefire, negotiations, a solution to the humanitarian crisis, and the protection of civilians and prisoners of war.
China believes that it is necessary to maintain the safety of nuclear power plants, the economy, guarantee grain exports, and promote post-war reconstruction.
In an official statement, China did not support Ukraine, but called for an end to "unilateral sanctions." The document calls the war a "crisis."
"Unilateral sanctions and extreme pressure not only fail to solve problems, but create new ones. Countries should stop abusing unilateral sanctions and 'long arm jurisdiction' against other countries and play a role in cooling the crisis in Ukraine," China's official statement said.
The Chinese are also convinced that it is necessary to "abandon the Cold War mentality and protect peace on the Eurasian continent."
