Putin seeks negotiations with West, but in his own twisted logic and imagination
Director of the Center for Military Legal Studies Oleksandr Musienko believes that Russia, Putin and his entire entourage cannot do without the West
He expressed this opinion in the Verdict with Serhii Rudenko program on Espreso TV.
“Putin is pursuing a hooligan policy, clearly criminal in relation to the West. Putin cannot offer the West any vision, they talk about a multipolar world. But what can Russia offer, what model of development - tanks, missiles, killing, torture, destruction, war? What attractive model does Russia offer the world? If the United States and Europe offer an attractive model that billions of people on this planet want to live by, what does Russia offer? I am convinced that it is definitely not the model that most people want to live by,” Musienko emphasized.
The director of the Center for Military Legal Studies also added that Russians are constantly looking to the West. The Russian leadership is constantly saying that they want to negotiate.
“Putin, like a bully, is constantly trying to escalate. He wants to be noticed, because otherwise he can only be noticed when he threatens with missiles and nuclear weapons. In reality, Putin wants to negotiate with the West, but in his own twisted logic and imagination. North Korea is holding on thanks to China's support. China will not be ready to support Russia as well. In this scenario, Russia would have to give up its territories to China. Russia was integrated into Western economic processes and now it is very difficult for them to reorient themselves, and they are not making progress in these processes,” Musienko emphasized.
