Kremlin prepares Plan B for "second Ukraine" - NSDC Secretary Danilov
Ukraine’s NSDC Secretary Oleksiy Danilov believes that Viktor Medvedchuk, a suspected high treason offender, pro-Russian politicians and experts in Ukraine "will propose the creation of two countries."
National Security and Defense Council’s Secretary Oleksiy Danilov stated this in a BBC interview.
"Russia now has the task of making the so-called Korean scenario. They have already realized in the Kremlin that they cannot completely seize our country, and they will now make a plan "B" when they will create the so-called "second Ukraine," the NSDC Secretary said.
According to him, this "crazy plan" was initiated by Medvedchuk. Danilov noted that Medvedchuk considers himself an expert on Ukraine, but "he is not, he is just a traitor."
According to the NSDC secretary, Medvedchuk and some pro-Russian politicians and experts in Ukraine will "propose the creation of two countries." He did not mention any specific names, but hinted that these were members of the Opposition Platform For Life faction.
Danilov noted that Russia's goal in the near future is to do everything possible to fully occupy Donetsk and Luhansk regions along with a land corridor to Crimea, and then implement this idea of Ukraine's division.
"Representatives who served Yanukovych, representatives of the OPFL Rada deputy corps, political technologists who served them, who live in our country are involved in the process," the official emphasizes.
Danilov added that the idea of two countries is also being followed by the people who prepared the 1994 Budapest Memorandum: "They raised them, shook the dirt off them. Yanukovych's people are also working on this issue. They are the ones who are behind the scenes and pulling the strings."

The NSDC Secretary also said that Russian occupation forces are trying to take control of Bakhmut in Donetsk region by February 24, the anniversary of the full-scale invasion.
