Putin did not go to G20 summit because of fear that he would be eliminated - Klimkin
Ukrainian diplomat Pavlo Klimkin is convinced that Russian President Vladimir Putin is panicking for his life and that is why he refused to go to the G20 summit
He expressed this opinion on the air of the Espreso TV channel.
"The G20 summit was not just a humiliation for Putin. Putin behaved very rudely. He did not allow himself to address the G20 leaders even online. I believe that the main reason why he did not go to the G20 summit was not his health, not the desire to be in Moscow, or any other reasons, but ordinary fear. Fear for his life. Putin was very afraid that he would simply be eliminated in Bali," Klimkin explained.
The diplomat emphasized that Putin's refusal to go to the G20 summit was a big mistake for him.
"As for Lavrov, it was something strange. He met with the Chinese Foreign Minister and the UN Secretary General, and that's all. It means less than nothing. I also want to emphasize that Putin's decision not to go to the G20 summit will still affect him. This is especially felt by the Russian elites, as it becomes clear to everyone that nobody wants to do business with Putin," he added.
