President Zelenskyy confirms information about first Leopard tanks from Poland

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed the information during a joint press conference with Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, Ukrinform reports.
"Today we are announcing the delivery of the first tanks from Poland," Zelenskyy said.
"The first Leopards from Poland went to our neighbors from Ukraine. Today's visit of Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki will have a tangible impact on the security of Ukraine and Europe," tweeted Piotr Müller, Poland’s government spokesman.

Earlier, Bloomberg reported the information citing a Polish official.
According to the official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, Poland is sending Leopard 2 battle tanks to Ukraine on February 24, the first of 14 vehicles promised by the government.
Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki will reportedly announce the delivery during his trip to Kyiv.

Earlier, Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov said that Ukraine would receive at least 2 battalions of Leopard 2 tanks and 6-7 battalions of Leopard 1 tanks from its partners.
