People are on verge of survival. Situation in Mariupol district is even worse than in city
The adviser to the mayor of Mariupol, Petro Andryushchenko, said that in the Mariupol district there is no food and no money to buy it, so people are forced to live on humanitarian aid, which is not enough for everyone
He writes about this on Telegram.
Andryushchenko noted that the situation in the district is much worse than in Mariupol itself. According to him, even in peacetime life froze in the coastal villages in the winter, but the locals lived on the money earned in the summer. At present, residents, except for collaborators, have been left without income.
"People earned enough during the summer to live. That was the case. Until this summer of occupation. This summer, all residents of the coast, except for collaborators, were left without income. There is no place to work here. There are no Russian civilian occupier builders here. There is no Russian money for construction here. However, there is a military contingent here, which happily takes everything it needs," he writes.
Andryushchenko emphasizes that at present the locals do not have the funds to buy food, so they are forced to stand en masse in queues for "humanitarian food", which is in short supply.
"There is simply nothing to eat here. There is nothing to buy food for. People are on the verge of survival. The situation worsened with the increase of the military, who simply bought everything in the shops. Now there is only a humanitarian aid, which is almost non-existent. Look - this is a line in the village of Melekino for humanitarian aid now. The whole village is here, although there will not be enough of everything for everyone," the official said.
