Over 80,000 war crimes committed by Russian army documented in Ukraine
As of April 17, Ukrainian law enforcement officers have documented more than 80,000 war crimes committed by Russia's military on the territory of Ukraine during the full-scale invasion
Ukraine’s Office of the Prosecutor General reported the information.
From February 24, 2022, to April 17, 2023, Ukraine registered:
-
80,840 war crimes of the Russian Federation,
-
17,040 crimes against the national security of the country.
In particular, 78,412 are identified as violations of the laws and customs of war, 69 as planning, preparation, or unleashing and waging a war of aggression.
Among the crimes against national security, 8,242 were identified as encroachment on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine, 2,248 were identified as treason, and 5,005 as collaboration with enemy forces.
647 representatives of Russia’s military and political leadership are suspected of crimes in Ukraine.
Also, according to official data, 1,418 children have suffered as a result of the aggression of the Russian military. Among them:

470 children were killed,

948 children sustained injuries of varying severity.
The prosecutor's office emphasizes that these data are not final, as active hostilities continue every day.
