Over 500 days of war, Russia killed at least 10,000 Ukrainian civilians
Ukraine’s Office of the Prosecutor General has summarized the results of 500 days of Russia's full-scale war against Ukraine: 94,000 war crimes, 10,500 killed Ukrainian civilians, including almost 500 children
The Office of the Prosecutor General reported the information on July 8.
During the full-scale war, Russian occupying forces have committed 94,000 war crimes and destroyed 115,000 civilian infrastructure facilities.
In addition, Russian terrorists have killed at least 10,500 Ukrainian civilians, including almost 500 children.
"From the first days of the full-scale war, we have ensured the stable operation of the law enforcement system. We document and investigate all the aggressor's crimes in accordance with international standards. Prosecutors, investigators of the Security Service of Ukraine and the police work every day, often near the front line, to punish the Russian occupiers in national and international courts," the statement said.
According to prosecutors, there are already 353 suspects and 219 charged with crimes. Furthemore, 53 criminals have been sentenced in Ukrainian courts.
"The result of our daily cooperation with the International Criminal Court is the first arrest warrant for Putin. The International Centre for the Prosecution of the Crime of Aggression against Ukraine, the first element of the future tribunal, has already started working in The Hague," the press service added.
