Over 3,000 km2 of southern Ukrainian territory has been liberated
In the southern Ukraine, more than 3,000 km2 of territory have already been de-occupied, although the previous day Ukrainian military announced only about 260 km2
Nataliya Humeniuk, head of the joint press center of the Southern Defense Forces, announced the news on the United News national telethon.
"We know that Russian units remain on Dnipro’s right bank, obviously trying to conduct diversions. Operations in this direction are still ongoing. Therefore, we do not rush to announce what territories have been liberated. Although purely mathematically, their area has increased tenfold. If the previous day we talked about 260 km2 of the liberated territories, today it amounts to more than 3,000 km2," she said.
Humeniuk added that “a certain number of Russian forces remain” in some zones, and the Ukrainian military takes this information into account. And they also ask civilians to keep these threats in mind.
"We continue to work. We are aware of the approximate number. We do not disclose it, but we know what we are dealing with," she added.
Earlier, Humeniuk shared the information about the remnants of Russian equipment encountered by the Armed Forces of Ukraine while advancing in southern Ukraine.
