Only one state benefits from explosion in Turkish port – Defense Express expert Riabykh
Defence Express expert Valeriy Riabykh believes that Russia is probably involved in the explosion in the port of Turkey, but we should wait for official information
He expressed this opinion on the Espreso TV channel.
"I would like to emphasize that such accidents do not happen. That is, the mine could not have simply sailed into the port where the grain carriers are being loaded. These vessels are involved in the implementation of the grain deal. Therefore, a coincidence is unlikely. In addition, the mine could not have come from the Black Sea. The fact is that there are ships of the occupiers' military contingent operating on the other side of the Mediterranean," Riabykh explained.
The expert believes that we should wait for official information to draw preliminary conclusions about the explosion in Turkey.
"It is too early to draw any conclusions about the explosion in the port of Turkey. There is very little information about what happened there. However, if we analyze who benefits from the explosion of the grain elevator in the port of Derince, not many countries with an interest in this come to mind. The fact is that Russia's unilateral actions to withdraw from the grain deal have had a major impact on the food market. The Russians' actions also put a number of African countries at risk of famine," he added.
On August 7, a powerful explosion occurred in the Turkish port of Derince. Smoke rose high above the scene, and debris was scattered across residential areas. Two grain silos were damaged as a result.
