Russian troops mainly employ "meat assaults" in Kupyansk direction — Ukraine's Achilles Brigade
Oles Maliarevych, deputy commander of the Achilles UAV battalion of the 92nd Brigade, reports that Russian troops are intensifying their efforts to advance and reach the left bank of the Oskil River
He shared the information on Espreso TV.
"The Russians are destroying buildings; that’s their current tactic. This is done using guided aerial bombs and other artillery. The situation is very tense. The enemy is pressing to reach the left bank of the Oskil River. Our task, along with other brigades, is to inflict maximum damage on the occupiers. Everything that moves toward us is destroyed," emphasized Maliarevych.
According to the deputy commander of the Achilles battalion of the 92nd Brigade, a Russian attack took place in the Kupyansk direction more than two weeks ago with 50 pieces of equipment, 40 of which were destroyed.
“The Russians wanted to advance 2.5 kilometers in one day and reach the left bank with an armored attack. But they did not take into account the number of Ukrainian UAVs, people and equipment on the defense lines. As a result, their equipment was destroyed. That's why the Russians mostly resort to 'meat assaults.' Unfortunately, it is sometimes effective,” noted Maliarevych.
Over the past day, October 17, 210 combat clashes were recorded on the Russian-Ukrainian front.
