Negotiations with Russia are possible only after the liberation of all territories in Ukraine - Kostenko, Colonel, Ukraine's Security Service
Roman Kostenko, a Colonel with Ukraine's Security Service, believes that negotiations with Russia are possible only after the liberation of all Russian-occupied territories in Ukraine.
He shared his opinion live on air on the program "Verdict with Serhiy Rudenko" on the "Espresso" TV.
"From the rhetoric of the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, we can really conclude that there will be no negotiations with Russia. I believe that this is the right position. Especially after the successes we have at the front," Kostenko believes.
The colonel of the Security Service of Ukraine is convinced that the successful counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kharkiv Region has put Russia in an awkward position.
"If we didn't sit down at the negotiating table with the Russian Federation when we had a difficult situation and were retreating on the fronts, then we definitely won't sit down now. After the successful counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region, negotiations with the Russian Federation make no sense. To sit down at the negotiating table, we must at a minimum, free all Ukrainian territories occupied by Russia. Now Russians will try to save the situation, but it will also be the language of ultimatums. They simply do not know how to do it any other way," he added.
