Natalia Humeniuk describes challenges in operation to liberate Kinburn Spit
Natalia Humeniuk, spokesperson for Ukraine's Operational Command South, claims neither side has full control over the Kinburn Spit. Russia is shelling the opposite shore from there. The liberation operation is hindered by the weather
Natalia Humeniuk, head of the security press center and operational command "South" defense forces, told about the situation on the Kinburn Spit during a TV marathon.
"The situation is quite complicated. The weather does not contribute to such an easy completion and short duration of this operation. It is also connected with the Kinburn Spit. The attacks on the opposite shore of the Russian forces continues. Similarly, combat work is still going on with the islands and neither side has absolute control. This is the demarcation line, the front line where the fighting is going on," said Natalia Humeniuk.
She summarized that combat activity is underway almost on the entire left bank of the Dnipro river. On the southern front, the defenders are destroying Russia's facilities in the rear every day.
