More than 100 killed and 100 wounded daily: Cherevatyi names losses of Russian troops near Bakhmut
According to Serhiy Cherevatyi, the spokesperson for the Eastern Grouping of Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the average daily losses of Russian troops in the Bakhmut area are significant
He told about this in an interview for RBC-Ukraine.
“With more than 40,000 Russian troops involved in the fighting, equipped with approximately 250 tanks, up to 300 artillery guns, and up to 150 MLRS, the casualties are substantial. Different sources have provided varying figures for the losses. US President Joe Biden mentioned about 100,000 wounded and killed, while John Kirby estimated 100,000 casualties, including 20,000 fatalities. Ukrainian Minister of Defense Oleksii Reznikov mentioned losses of 70,000, possibly referring to a smaller area,” Cherevatyi emphasized that these figures are relevant considering the daily losses.
Cherevatyi further revealed that Russia’s daily losses amount to over 100 killed and an equal number wounded. He stated that the reported figures of 120 killed and 144 wounded yesterday serve as an average statistic for the Bakhmut area and its surroundings.
