No tendency so far Ukraine will be able to stabilize situation in Pokrovsk sector - military observer
Military observer Denys Popovych believes that Russia will not move reserves from the Donetsk direction to stop the Ukrainian offensive in Kursk region
He said this on the Espreso TV channel.
“The enemy will continue to advance, as the Russian troops are tasked with advancing in the Pokrovsk direction, and they are sending reserves there. The enemy forces are overwhelming. Currently, there is no reason to believe that the Russians will move reserves from there to stop our offensive in the Kursk region,” noted Popovych.
According to the military observer, the Donetsk direction and Donetsk region will be the last places Russia will move reserves from to the Kursk region to deter the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
“Currently, the situation is as follows, and the enemy's advance in the Pokrovsk direction continues. The situation is quite difficult, and there is no tendency that we will be able to stabilize it there,” added Popovych.
- Over the last day, August 15, 144 combat clashes took place in the frontline. The situation was the most tense in the Pokrovsk sector, where Ukrainian troops repelled 41 attacks.
