144 combat clashes at frontline, Ukrainian army repels 41 attacks in Pokrovsk direction

Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff reported the information.

Over the past day, Russian troops conducted seven missile attacks on Ukrainian positions and settlements with a total of 12 missiles. They also carried out 74 air strikes, dropping 101 KAB bombs. Additionally, they fired more than 4,600 rounds, including 109 from multiple launch rocket systems.

Russian air strikes targeted 12 settlements in the Kharkiv region, 1 settlement in the Luhansk region, 9 settlements in the Donetsk region, 1 settlement in the Zaporizhzhia region, and 2 settlements in the Kherson region.

Yesterday, on August 15, Ukrainian aviation, missile forces, and artillery conducted three strikes on locations where Russian personnel and weapons were concentrated. They also targeted and hit two artillery systems and two fuel depots.

Frontline update

In the Kharkiv direction, there were seven battles near Lyptsi, Starytsia and Vovchansk.

There were 16 firefights in the Kupyansk direction. Ukrainian defense forces repulsed assaults near Synkivka, Hlushkivka, Kolisnykivka, Andriivka, Kruhliakivka, Stelmakhivka and Berestove.

In the Lyman direction, Russian troops attacked 10 times near Makiivka, Nevske, Torske and Terny.

There were also 10 firefights in the Siversk direction. Ukrainian defenders beat back the Russian assault attacks near Verkhniokamianske, Bilohorivka, Pereizne and Vyimka.

In the Kramatorsk direction, four battles occurred near Chasiv Yar. According to Ukraine's General Staff, Russian troops were unsuccessful in these engagements.

In the Toretsk direction, Russian forces attacked 20 times near Zalizne, Toretsk, Pivnichne and New York.

In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian defenders countered 41 Russian assaults near Panteleimonivka, Vozdvyzhenka, Sukha Balka, Kalynove, Zelene Pole, Novotoretske, Mykolaivka, Novohrodivka, Novozhelanne, Skuchne and Ptyche.

In the Kurakhove direction, Ukrainian Armed Forces stopped 19 Russian troops' attacks near Paraskoviivka, Heorhiivka, Krasnohorivka and Kostiantynivka.

In the Vremivka direction, Russian forces attacked five times, in particular, in the direction of Vodiane, Rivne and Kostiantynivka.

In the Orikhiv direction, Russian troops launched two assaults on Ukrainian positions near Mala Tokmachka.

In the Kherson direction, Russian forces launched 10 attacks on Ukrainian defenses, suffering a significant blow.

The situation in the Huliaipole direction remains unchanged. No signs of Russian offensive group formations were detected along the Belarusian border.

On the border with Chernihiv and Sumy regions, Russian forces maintain a military presence, conducting mortar and artillery shelling of settlements from the territory of the Russian Federation.
