How long can Russia keep up its offensive potential: SBU reserve general explains
Viktor Yahun, Deputy Head of the Security Service of Ukraine (2014-2015), Major General of the Security Service of Ukraine, believes that Russia has enough resources and reserves to support offensive operations until the end of 2025
He shared this opinion on the Espreso TV channel.
"Today, most experts are inclined to believe that if the situation continues at the current level, Russia can maintain the pace of offensive operations until the end of 2025. They simply will not be able to maintain the situation they have created. However, this may happen earlier. In particular, if the Defense Forces are able to conduct counteroffensive operations on the front line. Other events may also occur, but the Russians have a realistic deadline to keep up the offensive pace only until the end of 2025," Yahun explained.
According to the general, economists rather than military experts are talking about this.
"We are talking about Russia's resources. In order to conduct offensive operations, resources and means are needed. That is why the deadline of the end of 2025 is being talked about not so much by military experts as by economists," he added.
