Russia loses 9,448 soldiers in wounded, killed over two-month offensive on Kharkiv region
During the two months of the offensive in the Kharkiv region, the Russian army engaged 10,350 soldiers. However, its losses in this area amounted to approximately 91%, with 2,939 soldiers killed and 6,509 wounded
Colonel Viktor Solimchuk, deputy commander of the Kharkiv troop grouping, said this at a briefing, ArmyInform reports.
According to him, during the two months of the offensive in the Kharkiv region, Russia lost 2,939 killed and 6,509 wounded. Meanwhile, its 45 soldiers surrendered.
"That is, the estimated losses of the enemy in our direction are about 91%," noted Solimchuk.
The spokesman also noted that over the same period of time, Russia lost most of its 138th Motorized Rifle Brigade in Vovchansk, as the 83rd and 157th tank regiments were “wiped out.”
Due to heavy losses, Russia is forced to withdraw units from other areas, to engage reserves, as well as "volunteer Orthodox communist-fascist brigades," one of which is named after Alexander Nevsky.
However, it is emphasized that Russian troops have a rather serious offensive potential. The invading Russian forces are regrouping, preparing assault groups in the rear, and restoring their forces and logistics.
"We realize the power of the invading forces and understand their intentions. And our soldiers, artillery and drones are making significant and tangible adjustments to the enemy's plans. All Russia's attempts to increase its efforts and expand the zone of control are unsuccessful. Along the entire state border and frontline, we will continue to destroy the invaders, destroying their aggressive plans," added Solimchuk.
