In some respects, I don't think this war will ever end - Associate Professor Robert Person
Associate Professor of International Relations at the United States Military Academy Robert Person shared his views on when the Russian-Ukrainian war will end
Robert Person is convinced that as long as Russian leader Vladimir Putin is in power, the war in Ukraine will not end.
“In some respects, I don't think this war will ever end. Certainly as long as Putin is in power, because even if the Ukrainian Armed Forces are successful in fully ejecting Russian forces from Ukraine's sovereign territories, Putin will continue his war against Ukraine in the political sphere, cybersphere, as well as information sphere,” he emphasized.
The West Point associate professor believes that the West will support Ukraine for as long as it takes.
“I believe so because the leaders in Washington, Brussels and Berlin understand that this isn't simply Ukrainian fighting against Russia. This is something much bigger than Ukraine. And really what Ukraine is fighting for is the principle of sovereignty and freedom. The world in which Russia and other countries are allowed to simply rewrite the rules and orders with force is a terrible outcome for us to imagine. It's very much in our national interests and collective international interests to ensure that this aggression doesn`t stand,” Robert Person concluded.
