Frontal attacks on Kherson are inadmissible, the city must be besieged - military expert Chernyk
As soon as Ukraine's Armed Forces take Kherson into full fire ring and cut off not only military supplies, but also food supplies, the Russian forces will be exhausted
Military expert Petro Chernyk said this on Espreso TV.
“I am not a supporter of the concept that the Russian enemy will leave the Kherson region. In my opinion, the battle for Kherson will take place. The question is the nature of the hostilities. I am an ardent supporter of a siege, not a head-on assault,” he said.
Chernyk explained his vision of the siege of the city.
“We are increasing our artillery potential and the potential of MLRS. New aid from the US will strengthen the supply of Ukraine's Armed Forces with artillery ammunition, primarily smart ones. More than 500 shells, that's a lot. Next, there should be a gradual introduction of armored vehicles and the cutting off of all possible ways to provide Kherson. As soon as we take Kherson into full fire and cut off not only military supplies, but also food supplies, the Russian forces will be exhausted. It will either be destroyed or captured. In my opinion, frontal attacks are unacceptable,” the expert said.
