Fragmentation of power structure in Russia may spill over into state – SBU Major General Yahun
The emergence of military formations in Russia that can independently perform certain tasks and their reinforcement by real generals is an intriguing trend
This was stated on the air of Espreso TV by the retired Major General of the Security Service of Ukraine Viktor Yahun.
"Russia is experiencing a strong fragmentation of the power bloc. There are many structures there, they are all independent, and have different directions of obtaining finance. At the same time, they are starting to create so-called private companies, which are officially banned and prosecuted in Russia. This is a serious challenge for them, because the creation of military formations that can independently perform certain tasks and their reinforcement by real generals is an interesting trend. They are also starting to create territorial defenses in each region," he said.
Yahun added that everyone is trying to finance these structures separately.
"This can only lead to one thing: the fragmentation of the power structure can spread to government structures, and all this can fall apart. If a region goes somewhere in its own direction without the tsar's direction, it will be a serious blow. And the reinforcement of such structures by generals like Mizintsev or Surovikin is a very bad trend," general summarised
