Information about the tragic news was shared by the commander with the 103rd Detached Brigade of the Territorial Defense Forces Valerii Kurko on Facebook.

Vasyl was a very patriotic Ukrainian and worked as a director for many years, cooperating with many TV channels, in particular, in recent years, with Espreso TV channel and TRC Pershyi Zahidnyi. In 2014, when the war with Russia began, he worked on the information front, helping to create documentaries and programs about the war with the Russian forces. In particular, together with his colleagues, he created a series of programs about the Russian-Ukrainian war called History of a Hero, as well as a documentary film The Last Medic of the Terminal. Ihor Zinych - call sign Psych (Psycho).

Vasyl Yavorsky enlisted in Territorial Defense in 2021, predicting the threat of a full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation into Ukraine. Therefore, he joined the defense of Ukrainians right from the first days of the Russian invasion. He performed combat missions in hot areas of the front in the Donetsk region.

"Yes, it's scary... very scary... but the infantry is a marker, a mark, where is your territory, and where is the enemy. Where the infantry stands, and behind it - life, free territory, not occupied Ukraine, there is where to look infantry is a territory where you have to come and knock out evil spirits. The Territorial Defense is a new type of infantry," Vasyl Yavorskyi wrote on Facebook back in May, when he expressed his thoughts about the Territorial Defense Forces' tasks.

Vasyl's friends note that he was a very open and sociable person, traveled a lot in Ukraine, and liked to learn something new.

An important feature of Vasyl's character is purposefulness and responsibility. He always worked according to the rule: to do well or not at all.

Vasyl was never afraid to change his life and occupation. He started doing television business 15-20 years ago. First, he was a cameraman, then an editor, and then the main director.

Colleagues note that Vasyl had a good vision of the frame, as well as a sense of pace, which is very important in the work of an editor. He liked to share his experience, having taught many journalists, cameramen and editors the nuances of television work.

Vasyl was very philosophical about his participation in the Liberation War, simply explaining that it was a job that someone had to do, and he did it.

The son from his first marriage was left without a father. He lived together with his second wife for several years. Already during the full-scale invasion, on September 10, 2022, the couple decided to get married and officially became a family.

The staff of the Espreso TV channel express their deepest condolences to Vasyl's relatives - this is an irreparable loss for everyone who knew and worked with Vasyl.
