Estonian President approves new Kallas government
On Monday, April 17, Estonian President Alar Karis has approved the composition of the new government headed by pro-Ukrainian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas
The Estonian broadcaster ERR reported the information.
On April 17, the government officials will take the oath in parliament and then begin their work.
The new government of Kallas was formed on the basis of a coalition agreement between the Reform Party, Estonia 200 and the Social Democrats.
The newly formed coalition reportedly has the following goals: security, sustainability of public finances, environmental reforms, increasing life expectancy, regional policy and reducing income inequality, national development and quality education.
Last week, prime ministerial candidate Kallas was authorized to form a new government with the support of 59 members of the Riigikogu.
This will be Kaja Kallas' third government. Her first government lasted from January 26, 2021, to July 18, 2022, and the second from July 18, 2022.

Earlier, Kaja Kallas said that representatives of Eastern European countries should be appointed to leadership positions in the EU and NATO.
