Espreso, Channel 5 and Pryamiy were turned off by Bankova. This is how censorship began in Putin's Russia - journalist
Ukraine is fighting not to be Russia, but it is impossible to do this while acting like Russia
Sergiy Sydorenko, editor of European Truth, wrote about this on his Facebook.
"Let's be honest: Channel 5, Pryamiy and Espreso were turned off the air by Bankova. And this is not military censorship, but political. I don't know if this is due to progress in negotiations with the Russian Federation and a possible agreement that will have to be sold to the public (which these channels will criticize). But as an international specialist I know for sure: the dictatorship absorbs and sucks gently and imperceptibly. Having taken one step, it is difficult to resist the second... the third... and at some point you find yourself behind all the red lines", said the journalist.
EuroTruth may well be the next to be turned off, because it will again show a real picture. Either Ukrainian Truth, or NV, or any other media. The goal is for others to see and write what the authorities are waiting for. To prevent it.
"This is how the current Russian censorship began in the 2000s, at the beginning of Putin's regime. Therefore, fellow journalists, let's not be silent", called on Sergiy Sydorenko.
He notes that Channel 5, Pryamiy and Espreso broadcasts should be restored without delay!
"I am not a viewer of these channels at all, but it does not matter. Because there is a lot at stake, including for our movement towards EU membership. Because the European Union does not take various options of Russia. If you don’t believe me, ask Turkey", summed up the reporter for EuroTruth.
