Despite lack of modern weapons, Ukrainian troops approach Klishchiivka and Bakhmut
Dmytro Kukharchuk, the battalion commander with the Ukrainian Armed Forces, has stated that the lack of modern weaponry in the Bakhmut sector is impeding the progress of the Ukrainian Defense Forces
He shared the information on Espreso TV channel.
"Counteroffensive actions by the Armed Forces of Ukraine have been taking place for almost 2 months. Although our progress may not meet the expectations of those observing the offensive on TV. Given that we, unlike some brigades, have not been "loaded" with modern Western equipment, have not been provided with new Bradley and Leopard models, we are fighting with the same equipment we had when entering the Bakhmut sector in January last year. In this regard, the progress cannot be as fast as some would like. But meanwhile, we are already on the outskirts of Klishchiivka, we are on the outskirts of Bakhmut," emphasized Kukharchuk.
According to the commander of the 2nd assault battalion, Ukrainian defenders aim to liberate all occupied Ukrainian territories.
"Our goal is not to take Klishchiivka, Bakhmut or any other settlement. Our goal is to advance as far as possible and liberate all Ukrainian territories. And we will do everything we can to achieve this goal," emphasized Kukharchuk.
