Ethnic Tuvans and Russians сlashes within Russian army escalate, resulting in deaths — National Resistance Center
In the Russian occupying forces, conflicts between different ethnic groups, often involving the use of weapons, are on the rise. Tuvans and ethnic Russians are involved in these conflicts
The National ResistanceCenter reported reported the information.
According to the Ukrainian underground, Tuvan soldiers in the Russian occupying army are increasingly clashing with Russians.
The Center notes that these disputes often lead to violent altercations with the use of weapons, sometimes resulting in fatalities.
The National Resistance Center highlights that “these conflicts are primarily driven by issues related to traditional Russian dominance over subjugated peoples and disputes over military equipment distribution, such as collimators, thermal imagers, and other gear.”
It's worth mentioning that these interethnic conflicts tend to escalate, especially after excessive alcohol consumption.
During Sergei Shoigu's tenure as head of the Russian Ministry of Defense, he implemented a system of preferential treatment for Tuvans, leading the military prosecutor's office to either conceal investigations against them or delay proceedings.
- In August, a shootout occurred in the temporarily occupied village of Urzuf near Mariupol, involving Russian army personnel and Kadyrov’s soldiers, resulting in the death of seven civilians.
