Fedorov shared the news during the telethon.

"We are planning to launch an online marriage, you can simply get married in Diia via video, it will also be quite technological. I won't give any spoilers, but there will be many interesting elements of this process, and it will be unique for the whole world," Fedorov said.

He also noted that, in particular, it will benefit Ukrainian military personnel who may marry their partners via video calls.

"As always, it will be done in a super safe way, and the people who apply will be the ones who will get married, so there are several stages of verification," the minister said.

He also announced that Diia would unveil the code in February: "There are no plans to hold any summonses or elections, we plan to open the code in February, this is a very important step in terms of openness, transparency and technological efficiency, we have been working on it for a long time, Diia will have an open source code, so developers from all over the world will be able to see how Diia works."

The state app will also soon have a patient's account "so that people can quickly get information about the time of the appointment, information during the appointment, about prescriptions, and so on." And also car customs clearance.

"Car customs clearance, I think that in the coming days there will be a vote in the Ukrainian parliament, in the first reading of the draft law on customs clearance, if the draft law on customs clearance is adopted, we will be able to launch this service quite quickly. This is hundreds of millions of dollars in savings and there will be no abuses at customs clearance, and in general, this is the first step in the digital transformation of customs thanks to Diia," said Mykhailo Fedorov.

Diia is currently developing services for veterans and the ability to obtain a marriage certificate in the app.

  • On 24 January, it was reported that more than 10,000 sailors had used the services of providing qualification documents on the Diia portal since the service was launched.
  • On 3 February, Ukraine hosted the final of the Eurovision Song Contest National Selection 2024: during the voting, Diia had a technical failure.
