China is interested in dividing Russia – Ukrainian lawmaker

He said this on Espreso TV. 

“The United States is watching China very closely. Washington considers Beijing its strategic adversary, which needs to be limited in its actions. However, this restriction should be based on some kind of constructive approach. As for us, we have long-term support from the United States. Yesterday, there was a statement about bipartisan support for Ukraine in the United States,” Dunda said.

The lawmaker believes that China may be interested in dividing the Russian Federation.

“If we have the total support of the United States, then no matter what proposals come to us from China to settle the conflict, as they say in Beijing, we will win this war. We will be able to return to the 1991 borders. China will have to participate in the division of Russia into different regions and control some of them. This is what they are talking about now and what China really wants,” he added.

• On April 18, the chief of European diplomacy, Josep Borrell, also said that relations between China and the EU would not be able to develop normally if China does not help stop Putin.

• On April 26, Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a phone conversation with Xi Jinping, and the Chinese leader announced that a special representative of the Chinese government would arrive in Ukraine.
