Candles, medicines, generators: volunteer names Kherson residents' priority needs
Humanitarian aid will be allowed to be brought to Kherson in 3-5 days, so volunteers are looking for necessary things, including candles, medicine, food, gas stoves, and generators.
Svitlana Buhaienko, a volunteer from Kherson, said this on Espreso TV.
“At the moment, the situation with humanitarian aid is difficult, because Kherson is still closed. We are being urged to wait another 3-5 days, and then we will be able to deliver humanitarian aid and everything that is necessary to the city. In the meantime, we are helping people with what we have,” she noted.
According to Buhaienko, people do not give up, and Kherson residents are incredible.
“First of all, we need to restore electricity and water supply. Without this, it is very difficult for people - it is impossible to cook or wash. It is very cold in the apartments. There is information on my Instagram - we are collecting aid. As soon as there is access to the city, everything will be brought. Currently, we are collecting candles, medicine, food that does not require cooking, gas stoves, gas cylinders, and generators. These are the most necessary things as of now,” the volunteer concluded.
